IKARUS A-N BUS 1/43.In 1958, the Hungarian newspaper “Autó-motor” published a photo and description of a very unusual version of the Ikarus 55. The description accompanying this photo stated that the top-secret tests of a nuclear-powered bus were coming to an end and that fast and comfortable Ikarus would soon appear on the roads. One might ask: why haven’t we seen such Ikarus on the roads? Probably because the photo and the note were published on April 1, 1958… However, it must be admitted that the Hungarian April Fool’s joke turned out to be excellent!!
