AKZ 51 furniture van on GAZ 51 chassis . The first copy of the machine was assembled in early 1948. The body of this car was based on a hardwood wooden frame, which was connected to the frame of the AKZ-1 type bodies. The body later became the basis for many modifications – emergency vehicles, passenger buses, postal vans, propaganda vehicles, vehicles for transporting valuables, etc.).
In mid-1949, the documentation for the manufacture of the body was transferred to the Autonomous Technical University of the USSR Ministry of Defense, which organized the production of such buses at the military ARZ No. 101 in Moscow. In Aremkuz itself, mass production of such bodies began only in 1950 (only 16 cars were produced in 1948-1949, and they were mainly hearses).
In 1954, this body model was replaced by the modernized A-51 DELIVERY 25 WORKING DAYS !!!
