The greatest success in this area was achieved by Armenia, where in 1974 the first electric car called ErAZ-3731 was produced: it was created on the basis of the ErAZ-3730 car, the ErAZ-3731 electric car was equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 21 kilowatts, the driving range did not exceed 45 km, and the maximum speed of the model was 57 km / h. 26 different models with electric motors were produced on the basis of the ErAZ-3730, but in 1986 work was completely stopped due to the poor quality of the power units.
